Grey Poupon & Potatoes
After spending 50 years in advertising and marketing, I find myself paying more attention to the ads on radio and TV then I do the programs. One of my favorite over the top ads on TV is the two Rolls Royces pulling up to each other and asking “Do you have any Grey Poupon,” followed by “Of Course.” Additionally, did you know that “Grey Poupon” is one of the most used rhyme words in rap music over the last 15 years?
I recently saw a recipe for herb-roasted potatoes Poupon that I decided to try. It was excellent and was not overpowered by the flavor of the mustard.
Herb-Roasted Potatoes Poupon
1/3 cup Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
6 medium red skin potatoes. Cut into chunks
Mix all ingredients except potatoes in a small bowl. Place potatoes in a lightly greased 13×9×2-inch baking pan or on a shallow baking sheet, toss with mustard mixture. Bake at 425F for 35 to 40 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender, stirring occasionally. Makes 4 servings.
Delicious? But of course.
